Hits:
1) For my first hit, I will be referencing the personal narrative that we composed at the beginning of the year. I feel that this was a hit because I got great feedback, and I see myself as an accomplished story teller.
2) My second hit would have to be in Dr. Kuhn's class. We wrote a long essay question paper, and my area that was assigned was Russia. In my opinion it acted as a miniature research paper. I found plenty of sources and it earned me a 100% on the assignment.
3) My third hit is definitely my research paper. I loved the topic, and I found tons of information. I loved the majority of the process.
Misses:
1) On that note, however, I also think that the research paper was one of my misses. Allow me to explain. One of the hardest parts of the process was the act of going in between two teachers. I had to choose which to please, and I still don't feel happy about the outcome of my research paper.
2) For my second miss I'm choosing the literary analysis. While I chose a great topic, in my opinion it did not fit the parameters of the assignment, and in the end I had to stretch and squeeze it in order to make it fit.
3) For my last miss, I would have to say that it was most of the writing portions from Purple Hibiscus as a whole. I know that I may be stretching the assignment a bit here, but I truly think that those papers collectively illustrate how unorganized and scrambling I was at the time.
